In billiards, running the table is considered a skill through control of both the positioning and usage of the balls on the table. In American Kenpo, similar skill is required to completely control and overwhelm the opponent(s) until victory is secured.
This analogy is used to help underscore the importance of getting and maintaining proper leverage of the opponent(s) in such a way as to make victory a foregone conclusion.
