Outside Downward (Block)

A specific type of Striking block which is physically distinguishable by the outward and downward direction (in relation to the practitioner) of its movement in order to effect the block.

Comments:

The Outside Downward block is the standard downward block, when one thinks of a downward block.

This downward block travels from the opposite side to the same side of the body (outside) - as the blocking arm.

This block only has one (1) version, the palm down version. The palm up version is purposely omitted from the basics.

The word outside, in this case, is equivalent to outward.
