Catch

A specialized blocking maneuver which not only diverts, but also captures an offensive move by employing two methods in tandem - riding and grabbing.

Catching is essentially intercepting, guiding, capturing, and controlling an offensive move in motion

 

Catching is technically a sophisticated form of parrying - since it relies upon riding motion.

Catching can be accomplished in the following ways:

a.Single - using one hand

b.Double - using both hands

 

Catches typically fall into the category of Vise-Like maneuver.
