A specific method of teaching motion, where each maneuver of a Base Move is associated to a specific number. |

The By-the-Numbers method of teaching is usually employed by instructors to teach a Base Move for the first time.
This method of teaching is most commonly used with laymen students and/or students who have not been exposed to the Formulation Equation.
This method of teaching lends itself to demonstration of the Formulation Equation, by showing how each number of the sequence can be changed, re-arranged, deleted, altered, etc... |

A typical scenario of an instructor teaching utilizing the By-the-Numbers method of teaching would be: a.The instructor would assign a number to each movement of the Base Move along with a demonstration of each move to the student(s). b.The instructor would then execute each maneuver with the student, while re-emphasising each number. c.The instructor would then have the student execute each maneuver of the Base Move alone, by saying each number. They would continue with this until the instructor is satisfied with the student's performance, understanding, etc. d.The instructor could then demonstrate how each maneuver may be executed independently, out of sequence, with new moves, etc.
