Comparative Analysis

An idiom describing the use of non-marital arts related activities to enhance one's study, analysis, and knowledge of Kenpo.

Comments:

Comparative Analysis is usually done via drawing parallels / making analogies and recognition of similarities and differences between disparate pieces of information, and using those discoveries to enhance a topic of study in Kenpo.

Comparative Analysis can also be used in a teaching environment to help a student of a particular occupation to understand a concept.  This is done by drawing parallels between information that person finds commonplace in their line of work, with the information you wish to impart upon them.

Example(s):

Mr. Parker developed the Web of Knowledge by watching a spider build its web and using that structure to help "ensnare" information about Kenpo into a categorization methodology of self-defense techniques.
