Vertical Inside Forearm (Block)

A specific category of Striking block which is physically distinguishable by the inward direction (in relation to the practitioner) of its movement in order to effect the block, while remaining in a relative perpendicular orientation in relation to the ground, throughout its execution.

Comments:

This block is most commonly referred to as the inward smothering block.

The contact point of this block is typically the muscular portion of the forearm, but may also use the boney edge.

Derivation:

This block derives its name from the fact that it travels in a inward direction and remains vertically oriented.
