Shear

A distinct type of Vise-like maneuver which is physically distinguishable where one element of the maneuver is used as a backstop and the remaining sides are executed in close proximity and in relatively parallel, reverse directions to the backstop element, with the intent of creating a separating effect on the intended target.

Comments:

Shear is a generic term and can be enacted with any type of Environmental Object(s).

Scissor differs from Sandwich in that the enacting elements must be slightly offset with each other and one element of the maneuver can be stationary.

Shear differs from Scissor in one of the enacting elements may be stationary.

Shear differs from Rip and Tear in that shears have all sides of the maneuver push toward each other and Tears have the sides pulling away from each other. Another way to think about this is that both Rip and Tear are the reverse of, or an exaggerated form of Sandwich.
