Fixed Spacial Positioning

An idiom referring to the leaving of an Environmental Object in a fixed position while moving other elements around said Environmental Object for a specific purpose.

Comments:

Fixed Spacial Positioning is a generic term and can refer to any Environmental Object.

This term can be used in both defensive and offensive scenarios.

The most common enactment of this term is for covering (see Positional Cover) or cocking (see Positional Cock, Fixed Spacial Cocking), but it is not limited to just these objectives.

One way to think about this term is that it is the implementation of the Economy of Motion principle, eliminating motion that is not necessary to achieve the same results.

The implementation of this method is often overlooked, but should be examined and implemented when possible.
