Fixed Spacial Cover

An idiom referring to the creation of a Positional Cover through the moving of the body not the weapon itself.

Comments:

One way to think about this term is that it is the opposite of standard covering, where the weapon is repositioned and the body stays stationary. In this case, the weapon stays stationary (i.e. fixed spacial) and the body moves into position to create a Positional Cover.

Another way to think about this term is that it is the implementation of the Economy of Motion principle, eliminating motion that is not necessary to achieve the same results.

The implementation of this method is often overlooked, but should be examined and implemented when possible.

Fixed Spacial Cover differs from Fixed Spacial Cocking that Fixed Spacial Cover is for defensive purposes and Fixed Spacial Cocking is for offensive purposes.

See Fixed Spacial Positioning for more information.
