Fixed Spacial Cocking

An idiom referring to the cocking of a weapon through the moving of the body not the weapon itself.

Comments:

One way to think about this term is that it is the opposite of standard cocking, where the weapon is repositioned and the body stays stationary. In this case, the weapon stays stationary (i.e. fixed spacial) and the body moves into position to cock the weapon.

Another way to think about this term is that it is the implementation of the Economy of Motion principle, eliminating motion that is not necessary to achieve the same results.

This term is closely associated with the sayings: "don;t make a cock a separate motion" and "eliminate all wasted motion".

The implementation of this method is often overlooked, but should be examined and implemented when possible.

Fixed Spacial Cocking differs from Fixed Spacial Cover in that Fixed Spacial Cocking is for offensive purposes and Fixed Spacial Cover is for defensive purposes.
