Environmental Condition


An idiom referring to the current state of one's environment.

 

Comments:

 

One main goal of the practitioner is to assess Environmental Conditions using Environmental Awareness to correctly respond to external stimuli as needed and as quickly as possible.

 

Environmental Conditions encompass all scenarios - Freestyle (Combat, Tournament Competition, etc.), Self-Defense, and Basics (stationary and moving).

 

Some elements of Environmental Conditions that may be overlooked include (but are not limited to):

number of combatants

terrain

obstacles

weapons

weather

cultural influences

physical condition

drugs

clothing

rules / laws

mental preparation / condition

psychological influences

 

Environmental Conditions are the top consideration of the Preparatory Considerations.
