Borrowed Force can be used to compliment new momentum, thus aiding to the force of the existing momentum - or in opposition to new momentum, thus enhancing the force of impact between the momentums.
To use Borrowed Force, momentums do not have to be in direct opposition to one another. The only requirement is there needs to be an Angle of Contact between the weapon and the target - where the Angle of Contact takes advantage of the existing momentum in either of the two entities.
Borrowed Force differs from Continuity in that, Continuity is the use of one's own momentum to increase back-up move(s).
Whenever there is motion in one's environment, there is a possibility of utilizing Borrowed Force.
Borrowed Force can be utilized in the following ways: a.Existing motion from the opponent b.Existing motion in the environment c.Any combination of the above
Borrowed Force can be utilized from: a.Existing motion into existing motion b.Existing motion into new motion c.Existing motion into non-motion
The practitioner is encouraged to become comfortable with finding and taking advantage of Borrowed Force on both them self, their opponent(s), and their environment. |
