This method of behavior is usually used during tournament competition, but can also be employed in normal sparring situations.
This is a derogatory term.
In certain situations it is hard to distinguish whether the competitor is an actor or is fighting a Banger. And, sometimes it is the goal of the actor to imply that the opponent is a Banger, with the intent of getting the opponent disqualified.
An Actor usually likes to fight a Charger or a Banger, because their method of sparring plays into the strategy of an Actor.
This method of behavior is usually done to: 1) try and get an opponent disqualified by drawing sympathy from the judges and/or spectators 2) try and elicit sympathy from the opponent - so the opponent won't fight as hard 3) try and distract the opponent 4) try and use up time from the sparring match |
