Accumulative Journal

The original comprehensive notebook on Kenpo, authored by Ed Parker.  It is composed of historical information, self-defense technique, basic, form, and set illustrations, terminology, anatomical overview, rank pledges, concepts, theories, rules, principles, and other pieces of information.

Comments:

 

This type of move has you making the first offensive attack rather than your opponent.

 

This type of move is sometimes necessary, such as when the opponent has superior skill or weapons and you are certain the opponent is getting ready to initiate an attack of their own.

As of this writing, the Accumulative Journal is out of print, and must be purchased used.

 

It is sometimes referred to as the "instructor's red notebook" or just the "Red Notebook", because of its color and physical composition.
