The I.K.K.A. stands for the International Kenpo Karate Associate and was originally founded in 1956 by SGM Parker in Pasadena, CA.

Originally named the K.K.A.A., which changed in 1960 because some of its members move and started teaching in other countries around the world.

The organization basically died with its founder (in 1990), but attempts were made by his surviving family to continue the organization and later to revive the organization. These attempts to make the organization relevant again failed mainly due to the fracturing of the system.
