Take-down an be enacted through a fairly broad range of moves, but they generally fall into thee (3) major types: 1.trip 2.push 3.throw
Trip take-downs include tripping, buckling, and sweeping.
Push take-downs are typically enacted with some other elements and may include a trip-like take-down in its execution, but this is not a requirement. But they can also be enacted with a strike and are commonly referred to as strike-downs.
Throw Take-downs are commonly referred to as a throw-down and are considered the most violent form of a take-down, and can be enacted with other elements such as lifts and falls. |
