Retarded


An idiom referring to a maneuver which alters velocity dramatically during its execution with the intent to confound or deceive the opponent.

Comments:

 

Although general in nature, retarded maneuvers are often enacted by employing ratchets.

 

Retarded differs from Stutter in that stuttering most frequently refers to a series of maneuvers and retarded almost always refers to two (2) maneuvers in sequence.

 

Retarding can be used in conjunction with the Relaxation Response Mechanism.
