A distinct type of Vise-Like, maneuver which is physically distinguishable by the wrapping of one (1) or more extremities around any part of an opponent in order to create some form of control or injury. |

A hug enacted with both arms (typically to the opponent's body) is most commonly referred to as a bear-hug.
A hug is often applied with the intent of hindering the opponent's breathing by constricting the body.
A hug can be applied to control any part of the opponent's body or body parts.
A hug can be applied from any Angle of Attack (i.e. front, back, side).
A hug is not limited to any specific direction of application.
A hug can be used as an offensive tactic by more than one opponent. For example, one opponent could apply a bear-hug with the intent to hinder defensive maneuvers, while the other opponent takes advantage of the situation.
A hug is usually re-enforced by creating Closed Circle Strength with the hands.
Hugs are often applied by larger people to smaller people.
Hugs fall into the Dead Hand attack category. |
