Hide Principle


Slang referring to the practice of poorly positioning potential weapons (either purposeful or unintentionally) by allowing other Environmental Objects to get in the direct Line of Sight to potential targets on the opponent(s).

 

Comments:

 

This term can be thought of as having a negative connotation and/or as a reminder of what not to do.

 

The Hide Principle is directly associated with the Economy of Motion principle in that it highlights poor choices in Body Alignment.

 

The Hide Principle is directly associated with the saying: "don't get in your own way".

 

The Hide Principle should not be confused with Object Obscurity which is typically a Strategic Ploy.
