First Line of Defense

 

An idiom referring to the furthest effective defensive range for any scenario from the First Point of View.

 

Comments:

 

This term mirrors the layman's meaning of the term.

 

Looked at from the First Point of View it is the furthest from self. Looked at from Second Point of View this is the closest to the opponent(s).

 

This term is somewhat associated with the saying: "in order to beat action meet action".

 

Using Natural Weapons, First Line of Defense typically refers to the foot or leg, but can also refer to the hand and arm.

 

Man-made Weapons typically have the affect of extending (and hardening) one's First Line of Defense.
