White Dot Focus illustrates and symbolizes what Kenpo would consider the incorrect attitude when approaching a combat situation. It represents total concentration on the target or goal, without recognizing the need for defenses. This attitude is typically demonstrated by predominately linear, hard style martial arts systems.
In the illustration, the box represents the situation at hand, the black background represents lack of awareness, and the whit dot represents the intended goal and/or target. |
