1a) | Execute a left reverse step-through (toward 4:30H) with your left foot (counter-clockwise H) into a left transitory reverse bow (facing 4:30H) while simultaneously retracting (toward 10:30H) your right arm behind your back, at upper waist height, until parallel to the ground and your right fist crosses your spin, palm facing away from you (toward 4:30H), with the dropping of your left arm across the front of your body, at chest height, until parallel to the ground, hand open with palm facing downward (toward 6:00V), in preparation for the next maneuver. |
Option: | The timing of the retraction of the right arm may be executed prior to the stance change or coordinated to conclude with the stance change, but should never be executed after the foot maneuver is completed. |
1b) | Without any loss of motion from the previous maneuver, shift (counter clockwise H) (toward 4:30H) into a left neutral bow (facing 4:30H) with a left back elbow strike (toward 4:30H), palm toward you (toward 9:00V), to sternum height. |
Option: | Extend your left hand to deliver a left, thrusting, outward heel-palm (toward 4:30H), palm away from you (toward 4:30H), to face height. |
2) | Circle (counter-clockwise V) your left arm, using your left shoulder as the major pivot point, upward (toward 12:00V) and then diagonally downward (toward 4:30V), to conclude with the execution of a left, downward, diagonal (toward 10:30H) (toward 4:30V) inside elbow strike to rib height, palm up (toward 1:30V). |
Note: | The maximum height of the circular maneuver should face height, with the primary pivot point shifting from the shoulder to both the shoulder and the elbow at the execution of the strike. |
Note: | The inner elbow strike should be executed visually similar to a downward, diagonal (toward 4:30V) punch. |
3a) | Step your right foot back (toward 4:30H) (clockwise H) into a left forward bow (facing 10:30H), as you bend your left elbow (counter-clockwise V) (ending at 1:30V) to chest height, in preparation for the next maneuver. |
3b) | Immediately, execute a right, inward, overhead (counter clockwise V) hammering, hand-sword strike (toward 6:00V) to abdomen height simultaneously with a right, upward, thrusting (toward 10:30H) (toward 10:30V) knee kick to abdomen height. |
Option: | Your left hand can remain in its same relative positioning or be converted into a low (abdomen height) positional cover, palm forward (toward 10:30H) and fingers upward (toward 12:00V). |
Note: | The above sequence should be coordinated such that the timing of the strikes create an offset sandwiching maneuver at abdomen height with the knee kick being to the inside (left of) the hand-sword strike. |
Note: | The following maneuver can be interpreted as a preparation maneuver of the next technique or the conclusion to this technique with some preparation for the next technique. It will be written as the preparation maneuver of the next technique. |
