1a) | Continuing from the previous maneuver, plant your right foot forward (toward 10:30H) into a left, transitory reverse bow (facing 4:30H) while simultaneously dropping (toward 6:00V) both hands to your sides, palms backward (toward 4:30H) and fingers downward (toward 6:00V), in preparation for the next move. |
1b) | Immediately, step forward with your left foot (toward 10:30H) into a right reverse bow (facing 4:30H) while simultaneously pulling your arms directly forward (toward 10:30H) (toward 9:00V), fingers and palms facing backward (toward 4:30H), in the shape of the crane; in preparation for the next maneuver (positioned cocks). |
Option: | Since the above maneuver simulates the counter-grabbing and pulling forward of the opponent with your step, you may optionally bend both your wrists backward (toward 4:30H) (toward 1:30V) and close your hands, simulating a counter-grab to the potential opponent’s wrists. |
Note: | The pull of your arms should be done using your shoulders as the major pivot point while also borrowing the forward momentum of your body. |
Tip: | At no point should your hands not keep up with the forward momentum of your body and be allowed to fall behind your body. |
1c) | Without any loss of motion, rotate (clockwise H) into a right neutral bow (facing 4:30H) with a right outward elbow (toward 4:30H) (toward 1:30V), palm down (toward 6:00V), to face height, while simultaneously continuing to pull (toward 10:30H) and diagonally downward (toward 7:30V) with your left arm. |
Note: | The pull of your left arm should be coordinated such that the momentum of the two opposing forces stop at the same time as the final rotation of the stance thus emphasizing both the pull and the strike with the body rotation. |
2a) | Shift forward (clockwise H) into a right, transitory, forward bow (facing 4:30H) with the drop of your right hand diagonally downward (toward 4:30V), palm down (toward 6:00V), to the outside and past your right hip (toward 7:30H), while maintaining the position of your left hand. |
2b) | Without any loss of motion from the previous move, execute an inward, overhead (clockwise V) elbow (toward 6:00V) (toward 4:30H), palm toward you (toward 10:30H), to abdomen height, while simultaneously settling (toward 6:00V) into a right forward bow (facing 4:30H) and maintaining the position of your left hand. Also with the above maneuver, coordinate the closing of the right hand into a right fist, palm toward you (toward 10:30H), at the strike's potential contact point. |
Option: | To visually demonstrate Body English to the above maneuver, slightly rise (toward 12:00V) (during the upward portion of the circle) and then settle (toward 6:00V) (during the downward portion of the circle) into the right forward bow in concert with the circular motion of the arm; completing with the strike's potential contact point. Also, one may wish to accentuate the maneuver further by continuing to settling all the way into a high, right close kneel stance (facing 4:30H). |
3a) | Raise (toward 12:00V) your left arm to the front of your body (toward 4:30H), palm toward you (toward 10:30H), to match the angle of your right arm, in preparation for the next move. |
Option: | Both of your hands can be open or closed, but they should match each other. |
3b) | Immediately, execute double-handed, downward (toward 6:00V), heel-palm strikes (toward 4:30H), palms down (toward 6:00V), to the abdomen height, while simultaneously executing a left, thrusting (toward 12:00V) knee kick (toward 4:30H) to abdomen height. |
Note: | The heel-palms and knee strike should be coordinated such that the timing creates a sandwiching effect in front of your body. |
Option: | Your stance may rise slightly to emphasize the knee strike (Body English) or remain at the same height, not putting emphasis on any specific strike. |
3c) | Immediately after the heel-palm strikes stop moving, close both hands (to simulate a double-handed kidney squeeze) while maintaining the same relative position of both hands, palms downward (toward 6:00V). |
Note: | The following maneuver can be interpreted as a preparation maneuver of the next technique or the conclusion to this technique with some preparation for the next technique. It will be written as the preparation maneuver of the next technique. |
