Form Idealized Execution - Written

The written description of Short Form Three's execution will be broken down as follows:

First the form will be divided into the individual self-defense techniques comprising the form; in the same order in which these self-defense techniques are performed with in the form. Any other major elements of the form may have their own section. Two examples of this are the potentially the open and the close of the form.

Next, each self-defense technique will then be sub-divided into a numerical sequence. This numerical sequence will be structured such that each number will coincide with a strike of the technique (typically a major strike).

Finally, the numerical division may be further broken down (if needed) into lettered sub-sections, with each sub-section comprising the component maneuvers leading up to the strike.

The logic for choosing this specific layout is so that any specific maneuver or set of maneuvers may be quickly and easily found and read without much effort on the reader's part. Also, this format makes for a clean and highly structured format that can easily applied to the other sections of this guide.

Note (legend): Throughout the written material, one may see a clock time followed by an "H" or a "V". This designation represents either horizontal (H) or vertical (V) clock. For more information on this subject, see "Appendix C - Clock Principle" of this guide.

H = Horizontal - Example: 6:00H

V = Vertical - Example 12:00V
