1a) | Step forward (toward 1:30H) with your left foot into a right, reverse bow (facing 7:30H) as you simultaneously retract your left arm (toward 12:00H) to a left chambered position, fist up (toward 12:00V), with your right arm (toward 10:30H) parallel across your body, fist down (toward 6:00V) on top the left fist, in preparation for the next move. |
1b) | Immediately, rotate (clockwise H) and settle (toward 6:00V) into a right forward bow (facing 7:30H) with a right, hammering, outward, overhead (clockwise V) elbow strike (toward 6:00V) to rib height, allowing the strike to continue to a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V). Simultaneously with the previous maneuver, deliver a left, thrusting, straight four-finger poke (toward 7:30H) to eye level, palm down (toward 6:00V). |
Note: | The rotation of your right arm should be on a 12:00V-6:00V circle passing straight over the top of your head and then straight downward, while the poke is simultaneously delivered on a straight, upward-diagonal line to its final position. |
2) | Shift (counter clockwise H) into a right, offset, fighting horse (facing 7:30H) with a right thrusting upward (counter clockwise V) elbow strike (toward 12:00V) to chin height, while simultaneously lowering (toward 6:00V) your left open hand to chest level (positioned cover), palm forward (toward 7:30H). |
3) | Without any loss of motion from the previous moves, continue the rotation of both your stance (counter clockwise H) and your arm (counter clockwise V), and settle (toward 6:00V) into a right reverse bow (facing 7:30H) with a right, thrusting, back hammer-fist (toward 7:30H) to groin level, while simultaneously raising (toward 12:00V) your left open hand to your right shoulder level (positioned cover), palm forward (toward 7:30H). |
Note: | The hammer-fist should be executed on a straight line, not on a circular one. This effect can be achieved by maintaining an anchored elbow (not allowing it to pass above your shoulder level and keeping it close to the body) creating a small, tight circle, while using the elbow as the major pivot point, not the shoulder. |
