Pinning Block

Definition(s):

A distinct type of block which transforms into a pressing check or pinning check, after its initial execution, depending upon the size of the contour of the opposed surface, and weapon used to execute the block.

Comments:

A pinning block differs from a standard striking block in that the pinning block maintains the same relative position on the opposing surface after the block is effected creating a pin as a follow-up method; at which point it becomes relatively indistinguishable from a Pinning Check or Pressing Check.
