Outside Downward Parry (Block)

A specific type of Downward Parrying Block which is physically distinguishable by the outward direction (in relation to the practitioner) of its movement in order to effect the block.

Comments:

This maneuver travels from the same side of the body (inward) - as the blocking arm.

This maneuver only employs a hammering-like method of execution.

The word outside, in this case, is equivalent to outward.

Derivation:

This parry derives its name from the fact that it travels both downward and outward in direction.
