Natural (Stance)

A variation on the standard attention stance which is physically distinguishable by the feet being shoulder width, having the arms hanging naturally by the sides, and the overall body disposition as natural and less structured.

Comments:

This stance is considered to be non-ready in relation to combat and self-defense.

The major variation from the standard attention stance is the overall natural disposition of the stance.

The natural stance is primarily used as a starting point for certain self-defense techniques.

Derivation:

The natural stance derives its name from the fact that this is how the average individual naturally stands.
