Cup and Saucer

Slang for a particular positioning of the upper extremities where one arm is chambered and the other is placed perpendicular to it (across the body) with the fists stacked on top of each other and palms facing each other.

Comments:

There is a variation of this particular positioning where the hands remain open, although the standard is to have the hands formed into fists. This variation is demonstrated in Form Four.

This positioning is most closely associated with the forms.

Derivation:

The term is taken from the stacked hands resembling a cup placed on a saucer.
