Angular Avoidance

An idiom describing the ability to detect and create an Angle of Deviation or an Angle of Defense from an Angular Attack.

Comments:

Angular Avoidance differs from Angle of Avoidance, in that Angular Avoidance is more specific and must be initiated from an Angular Attack.

Because realistic attacks are typically angular, Angular Avoidance is commonly initiated from a practitioner's peripheral vision, hearing, touch, or Intuitive Awareness.

Angular Avoidance is an important factor when dealing with realistic combat situations.  The practitioner should become proficient at using all of their senses in detecting Angular Attacks.

See Angle of Avoidance for more detailed information on this subject in general.

Example(s):

The creation of an Angle of Deviation from an attack detected from one's peripheral vision would demonstrate Angular Avoidance.
