Also referred to as "and then".
An experienced practitioner will eliminate or minimize "and" from their Vocabulary of Motion. Instead one will replace the "and" with "with", to represent a Sequential Flow without extra unnecessary gaps in timing.
The word "and" is inconsistent with the principle of Economy of Motion.
On occasion it is advantageous to break the rhythm of a Base Move, to try and confound and deceive the opponent.
And, in this context, would create a potential opening for the opponent or yourself to insert a weapon. |

If one were to execute an outward hand-sword strike using Gravitational Marriage, one would settle "with" the strike - not strike "and" settle. The second phrase using "and" gives an impression of delay, where the first phrase using "with" leaves no question as to the intention of the flow. |
