Three-on-Line

 

An idiom referring to the execution of three (3) maneuvers in sequence or simultaneously along a discernible line.

 

Comments:

 

Three-on-line is a term primarily used within the forms for a number of reasons:

a)Category Completion (both sides of a maneuver)

b)various options of the same maneuver

c)an important teaching sequence

 

From a specific perspective, the application of Three-on-line allows the demonstration of both sides of a maneuver, and then repeats the first side of the maneuver again, which allows the sequence to flow more naturally into the follow-up sequences of the form.

 

Example(s):

 

Each of the Self-Defense Techniques within Form Five demonstrates a different Three-on-Line sequence. Three-on-Line is a major theme of this form.
