A distinct type of kicking strike which is physically distinguishable by striking with a backstop. |

Like other kicks, this kick transfers weight into the strike, but is distinct from its stomp cousin by retaining a supporting leg throughout its execution.
The most typical backstop for this kick is the ground, but that is not a requirement.
Although not specifically illustrated in this section, this classification of kick can employ practically any of the single maneuver, elementary kicks listed. |
