Sticky Hands

A specific method of training which uses contact to read and anticipate an opponent's offensive and defensive maneuvers.

Comments:

Sticky hands is the direct translation from the Chinese Ch'i Sao.

This form of training was popularized by the Wing Chun and Tai-Chi systems.

Ch'i Sao relies upon contact to "feel" and read the intent of the opponent.

A.K.A.:

Ch'i Sao

Derivation:

Derived from the fact that during training both partners maintain contact with the arms until a strike is executed.  This gives an observer the impression that the partner's arms stick together.
