First, Short Form Two begins to introduce a new concept - "degrees of". This concept is demonstrated in a number of ways in Short Form Two. In this case, degrees of cocking the weapon. The "one's" always positioned the minor arm in a chambered position, i.e. fully cocked. But, now in Short Form Two, the minor hand is starting to be positioned out of the chambered position, i.e. not fully cocked.
Second, Short Form Two begins to introduce the concept of practical or realistic positioning. This is demonstrated with both the checking hand throughout the form, and the positioning of the half-knuckle strike both before and after the delivery of the strike.
