Why are all the blocks done with the front hand only?

Short Form One is the first form of the system. As such, it lays out the foundation on which all of the rest of the forms build. And, blocking with the front hand is the quickest and strongest method of blocking. Later (in Long Form One), blocking with the rear hand is added to show an opposite to blocking with the front hand.
