Paper Tiger

A derogatory slang term used to describe a practitioner that can describe motion extremely well, but can't execute it.

Comments:

This term describes the practitioner that spends the vast majority of their time on the conceptual to the point that they no longer have the ability to implement the motions effectively.

Because American Kenpo has a lot of conceptual underpinnings, it is easy for one to get wrapped up in the conceptual at the detriment of the physical.

The point of this term is to remind the practitioner that one needs to get out of the conceptual and into the practical (e.g. Real Deal Phase).
