The half-knuckle sequence is as follows:
1) | Execute a left, thrusting, instep (arch) kick with a left, hammering, close-fist half-knuckle strike. Without any loss of motion from the previous moves, plant your left foot forward into a left front twist. |
2) | Step through forward with your right foot into a right neutral bow with a right uppercut punch and without any loss of motion, execute a right, thrusting, upward horizontal forearm strike, to chin level. |
3) | Execute of a left, thrusting, vertical two-finger poke, at eye level. |
4a) | Retract of your right hand to your right upper chest region, in preparation for the next move. |
4b) | Execute a right, thrusting, vertical two-fingered poke, while simultaneously retracting your left hand to your left upper chest area. |
5) | Execute a left, thrusting, vertical two-fingered poke, while simultaneously retracting the right hand to the right upper chest area. |
6) | Repeat the sequence on the opposite side (toward 10:30H) |
An analysis of this sequence exposes the following information:
•it demonstrates distance without rotation
•it demonstrates front hand converted into the rear hand with the switch in Point of Reference
•it uses two-in-one timing
•it uses one-in-one timing
•it demonstrates sophisticated motion
•the sophisticated motion is demonstrated in the middle of the sequence
An analysis of this maneuver exposes the following information:
•the rear weapons do not have direct line-of-sight to intended targets
•cover is done without foot maneuver - only switch in Point of Reference
•maneuver is executed using two-in-one timing
•the maneuver switches rear weapons to front weapons after foot maneuver execution
•the maneuver begins execution as a circular line of travel and completes on a linear line of travel
•the linear line of travel shows the opposite (downward) direction to the Outward block sequence (upward)
An analysis of this maneuver exposes the following information:
•the foot maneuver with the upper-cut adds a degree of back-up mass to the strike
•the forearm is used for a new intent (offense)
•the forearm demonstrates the opposite (vertical) direction to the Inside, Vertical Forearm Sequence (horizontal)
•maneuver is executed using two-in-one timing
•the rotation after the execution of the upper-cut adds a degree of torque to the forearm strike
An analysis of this maneuver exposes the following information:
•maneuver is executed using one-in-one timing
•the maneuver demonstrates converting a strike (offense) into a pressing check (defense) - i.e. changing intent
