The downward block sequence is as follows:
1) | settle into a left neutral bow with a left, hammering, downward block, while simultaneously retracting your right arm to a right chambered position |
2) | without any loss of motion from the previous move, execute a left, thrusting, inverted, vertical, roundhouse punch |
3) | shift forward into a left forward bow with a right, thrusting, straight punch, at solar plexus level, while simultaneously retracting your left arm to a left chambered position |
4) | execute a right, snapping, step through, ball kick, at groin level, with a left, thrusting straight punch, at solar plexus level, simultaneously with the retraction of your right arm to a right chambered position |
5) | plant your right foot forward into a modified right forward bow |
6) | shift into a right fighting horse with a right, thrusting, vertical punch, at rib height, while simultaneously retracting your left arm to a left chambered position |
An analysis of this sequence exposes the following information:
•the step through transitions the rear hand to the front hand
•the downward block/punch maneuver demonstrates the up-side-down execution of the inward block/hand-sword maneuver of the inward block sequence
•it uses two-in-one timing
•it uses one-in-one timing
•it reverses (left / right) the block sequence - in relation to Short / Long Form One (right / left)
•it demonstrates sophisticated motion utilizing the first (block) and second (strike) maneuvers
•the sophisticated motion is demonstrated in the beginning of the sequence
•the first two maneuvers of both sides of the sequence combined complete a circular path (vertically)
An analysis of this maneuver exposes the following information:
•the draw of the rear hand is to a non-realistic position
•the positioning of the hand prior to execution (in side #1) negates the need to cock weapon with double-factor block
An analysis of this maneuver exposes the following information:
•the strike rotation continues 'degree of rotation' concept
•the strike is executed using two-in-one timing
•the strike introduces the concept Orbital Adjustment
An analysis of this maneuver exposes the following information:
•the strike is executed using one-in-one timing
•the strike repeats the maneuver demonstrated in Long Form One on to the minor angle ('x')
An analysis of this maneuver exposes the following information:
•the maneuver continues the upper with lower category (front with back)
•the maneuver demonstrates the opposite weapon rotation of the final maneuver of the outward block sequence (horizontal vs vertical)
An analysis of this maneuver exposes the following information:
•the buckle reverses the Pivot Point of the outward block
•the buckle introduces a specialized Method of Execution
•settling into stance during the buckle execution emphasizes the power principle torque
•the maneuver demonstrates using the rotation of stance for offense with lower body
An analysis of this maneuver exposes the following information:
•the double factor demonstrates a degree of cup and saucer with only the cocked arm in cup and saucer position
