Downward Block

a) not obeying Economy of Motion principle:

i) chamber motion done too high (face height instead parallel to ground)

 

b) proper alignments:

i) blocking arm extended parallel to front knee after execution

ii) blocking arm extended to same shoulder

iii) palm facing directly downward

iv) elbow slightly bent during and after execution of block (not "locked out")

 

c) double factors:

iii) not executed with palm up (instead with palm down)
