a) improper alignments:
i) not extended to proper depth:
1) striking arm not fully extended
2) striking arm over extended (forcing stance to lean toward Point of Reference)
ii) fist not pointing directly downward
iii) contact not made with tip of elbow (contact made with triceps muscle)
iv) improper stance (see Stance Errors and Stance Errors - Fighting Horse sections)
b) improper formation of elbow:
i) elbow not completely bent (not creating Compact Unit)
c) improper execution:
i) not executed from Point of Origin of punch (where punch completed)
ii) not executed on reverse line as punch
iii) execution not at proper speeds / methods
1) executed too slow (transforms into push with elbow)
2) executed too fast (body unable to keep up with strike)
3) executed too tense (unable to achieve proper 'snap' of strike) (strike looks 'pushed' out)
4) strike not tensed at Point of Contact (improper timing / never)

(Improper height, high / low)
(Improper bend - not compact)
(Improper rotation - under rotation / over rotation)
(Improper wrist rotation)
