Inward Parry (Block)

A specific category of Parrying block which is physically distinguishable by the inward direction (in relation to the practitioner) of its movement in order to effect the block.

Comments:

The inward parry travels from the same side to the opposite side of the body (inward) - as the blocking arm.

The inward parry only employs a thrusting method of execution.

The word inward, in this case, is equivalent to inside.

Derivation:

This parry derives its name from the fact that it travels in a inward direction.
