Fall (Body Maneuver)

A specific form of a Body Maneuver which is physically distinguishable by changing the primary stance components from the feet to the body through the lowering of the entire body to ground.

Comments:

Falls blur the line between a Body Maneuver and a Foot Maneuver because technically one moves their feet from their position on the ground (which gives it characteristics of a Foot Maneuver, but the overall objective is to perform a Body Maneuver.

Falls can either be backward (the most common), forward, or to the flank. Regardless of direction, the arms and hands (and, if possible, the legs) are used to cushion the impact with the ground. This usage of the arms and hands is referred to as a "slap out".

Falls can be considered an exaggerated form of riding, where the fall is taken all the way to the ground.
