This variation is generally considered destructive.
The head (+ neck) is left unbent during the final maneuvers of Circles of Protection. This variation is accomplished by leaving the head unbent forward during the final heel-palm (to groin height) + grab (to groin height) / back-knuckle (to face height) sequence of the technique. There typically is no rationale for this variation and usually arises due to a lack of information.
Rationale Against
Not bending the head forward with the delivery of the heel-palm is not only less realistic, but also eliminates both inter-form and intra-form relationships. In this specific case, bending the head provides not only relationships within this form, but also between previous and future forms. Also, bending the head demonstrates that the practitioner understands that the visualized opponent is likely to bend forward with heel-palm and the bent head moves the focal point of that impact from the facial area to the crown of the head.
