Specific Variations

Specific variations, as the name indicates, are limited in scope and do not affect the form as a whole. Their scope ranges from a single maneuver up to an entire self-defense technique (or isolation). Specific variations typically fall into the destructive classification, but may sometimes be non-destructive. Each specific variation illustrated in this section will have a designation as to its classification - destructive or non-destructive.

Since Form Four is composed of self-defense techniques (and isolation sequences), this is how these variations will be illustrated. Furthermore, they will be placed in the order in which they are executed within the form. This presentation decision was made in an attempt to present the information in a more compact, lucid, and practical layout, allowing the reader to reference and review this information in a simple, consolidated format.
