Enhanced Strike

An idiom describing the immediate follow-up of a secondary strike which is employed on top of the primary strike with the intent of causing continued injury using the primary strike as the contact point for the follow-up maneuver.

Comments:

The simplest way to think about this process is hitting your own strike, which is still in contact with the opponent, to cause more injury than the injury applied by the first strike.

Another way to think about this term is that the second strike pushes the first strike further into the opponent to create more injury.

This term is most effective using the tip of the weapon (i.e. Pin-Point Effect), but this is not a requirement. See examples.

Example(s):

Hitting the opponent with a stick, leaving it in contact with the opponent, and then immediately striking the primary stick with a stick in your other hand to create a compounded injury to the opponent would demonstrate an Enhanced Strike.

Poking the opponent with a knife and then using your opposite hand to push the knife further into the opponent (i.e. stab them) would demonstrate an Enhanced Strike.
