Slang referring to an individual that resembles a statue as the training partner during the execution of Self-Defense Techniques. |

|
This term is derogatory in nature.
This term often refers to an inexperienced practitioner.
The nature of this term is somewhat controversial in the fact the it should only really be applied if the Self-Defense Technique is executed without any contact or very light contact. Otherwise, the practitioner may be guilty of not properly maneuvering their partner.
What make this controversial is that it is not the job of the training partner to over react or overtly resist when training. But it is the responsibility of the executioner to manipulate their partner properly. And it is also true that some maneuvers (such as an eye poke) have to be simulated. Therefore, a balance must be struck between the extremes. |
Derivation: |

|
The term is taken from how one resembles a statue and not reacting to anything occurring around them during Self-Defense Technique practice. |
