Inward - Rear Arm (double factor)

a)proper alignments:
i)height = fist at eye-brow level
ii)width = blocking arm extended to opposite shoulder
iii)depth = blocking arm extended to depth of Invisible Box
iv)execution angle - forward at 45 degrees

Form Specific

a)proper positioning:
i)body positioned / rotated to proper cat dimensions (see Stance Errors section)
ii)feet positioned / rotated to proper cat dimensions (see Stance Errors section)
ii)minor hand positioned to chamber

b)improper transition from heel-palm to block not obeying Economy of Motion principle

Comments

a)One of the most common execution errors is to not transition from the heel-palm strike on a direct path to the inward block. Rather to take an arching Path of Execution - breaking the Economy of Motion principle. The typical way to correct this error is to have the practitioner retract the heel-palm directly at their face as they rotate into the cat stance - which moves the face out of the way of the hand.

Examples of improper Inward Block execution (improper depth, over rotation of body, improper height - high / low, improper angle of execution)
