b) | improper transition from heel-palm to block not obeying Economy of Motion principle |
a) | One of the most common execution errors is to not transition from the heel-palm strike on a direct path to the inward block. Rather to take an arching Path of Execution - breaking the Economy of Motion principle. The typical way to correct this error is to have the practitioner retract the heel-palm directly at their face as they rotate into the cat stance - which moves the face out of the way of the hand. |
Examples of improper Inward Block execution
(improper depth, over rotation of body, improper height - high / low, improper angle of execution)
