The timing of Short Form Two is called two-in-one timing or sometimes referred to as double beat timing. What that means is that for every foot / body maneuver there are two defense / offensive maneuvers. Both Short Form Two and Long Form Two share this timing. Other forms do not necessarily share this timing sequence. For instance, the One's have a one-in-one timing sequence.
