Note: | The next maneuver begins the Repeated Devastation portion of the technique combination. |
1a) | Step your left foot to your left (toward 9:00H) settling (toward 6:00V) into a wide horse (facing 12:00H) with double, thrusting, upward diagonal vertical punches (left toward 4:30H / 1:30V) (right toward (7:30H / 10:30V), palms forward (toward 12:00H), to jaw height (height) and concluding with both knuckles nearly touching each other (width) and extended slightly behind the head (depth). |
Note: | The timing of the punches should be simultaneous with one another simulating a sandwiching effect to both sides of the potential opponent’s jaw hinge. |
2a) | Immediately, drop both elbows downward (toward 6:00V) to chest height, palms in (left toward 3:00V) (right toward 9:00V), knuckles upward (toward 12:00V). |
Note: | The previous maneuver uses the knuckles as the primary pivot point. |
2b) | Shift your left foot toward your right foot (toward 3:00H) as you raise (toward 12:00V) and stiffen your body to a wide normal stance (facing 12:00H) with a back (toward 6:00H / 1:30V) thrusting head butt to head height, while simultaneously thrusting both of your fists downward (toward 6:00V) and together (toward 3:00H and 9:00H), palms toward you (toward 6:00H) and almost touching at thumbs (width). |
Note: | The previous maneuver again uses the knuckles as the primary pivot point. |
Note: | The previous maneuver should be executed such that the fists travel on a straight line downward. |
Note: | The next maneuver begins the Scraping Hoof portion of the technique combination. |
3a) | Rotate to your right (clockwise H) into a right rear bow (facing 1:30H) immediately followed with a right, thrusting, back, upward diagonal (toward 7:30H / 10:30V) heel kick to knee height. |
3b) | Deliver a right, thrusting, side kick (toward 3:00H) to knee height. |
Note: | Do not retract the right foot after the side kick. |
3c) | Deliver a right stomp (toward 6:00V), toes pointing forward (toward 12:00H), ending in a modified horse (facing 12:00H). |
Note: | During the entirety of the above maneuvers your arms should remain in their same relative position extended in front of your body (body fusion), |
Option: | One may demonstrate the rotation of the right foot (but it is not preferable), such that the toes point to the right (toward 3:00H), instead of forward, during the execution of the maneuver. |
Option: | To visually demonstrate total weight commitment to the stomp, it is acceptable (but not preferable) to allow the left foot to rise slightly to the ball of the foot or to come completely off the ground for a short period of time, before replanting back to its original position. |
Option: | If one chooses any of the above options a transitional maneuver must be executed either prior to or along with the next maneuver in order to execute the next maneuver properly. |
Note: | If the above options are not taken the first half (4a - i) of the next maneuver can be eliminated by executing the alignment adjustment with the previous stomping maneuver (3c), thus ending in the same position prior to executing the second half of the following maneuver (4a - ii). |
4a - i) | Immediately, rotate to your left (counter clockwise H) into a left rear bow (facing 10:30H). |
4a - ii) | Immediately deliver a left, thrusting, back, upward diagonal (toward 4:30H / 1:30V) heel kick to knee height. |
4b) | Deliver a left, thrusting, side kick (toward 9:00H) to knee height. |
Note: | Do not retract the left foot after the side kick. |
4c) | Deliver a left stomp (toward 6:00V), toes pointing forward (toward 12:00H), ending in a modified horse (facing 12:00H). |
Note: | During the entirety of the above maneuvers your arms should remain in their same relative position extended in front of your body (body fusion), |
Option: | One may demonstrate the rotation of the left foot (but it is not preferable), such that the toes point to the left (toward 9:00H), instead of forward, during the execution of the maneuver. |
Option: | To visually demonstrate total weight commitment to the stomp, it is acceptable (but not preferable) to allow the right foot to rise slightly to the ball of the foot or to come completely off the ground for a short period of time, before replanting back to its original position. |
Note: | The next maneuver returns to the Repeated Devastation portion of the technique combination. |
5a) | Step forward (toward 12:00H) with your left foot into a transitory, right reverse bow (facing 6:00H) as you reposition (cock) your right arm across your body (toward 12:00H) concluding just in front of (depth) your left hip area (width), palm down (toward 4:30V), with the simultaneous reposition of your left hand to the top (toward 12:00V) of your right wrist, palm down (toward 6:00V) in preparation for the next maneuver. |
Note: | The above maneuver simulates a simplified (obscured) version of the entangling of the potential opponent's arms from the actual self-defense technique. |
Note: | The timing of this maneuver should be that both your foot and hand maneuvers conclude at the same time. |
Note: | The step of your left foot should be such that is does not need to be repositioned for obtaining proper alignments (width / depth) of the next maneuver's stance. |
5b) | Immediately, rotate (clockwise H) into a right forward bow (facing 6:00H) with a right outward elbow strike (toward 6:00H), palm down (toward 4:30V), to face height, with the downward, diagonal (toward 7:30V) drop of your left arm to the outside (width) and in front of (depth) of your left hip. |
Note: | The above arm maneuvers simulate the pull with push (opposing forces) demonstrated within the actual self-defense technique and should be executed on linear paths of travel. |
Note: | The next maneuver is not necessarily considered part of the technique (but is numbered as such), rather a transition (adjustment) step prior the delivery of the opposite side of this portion of the technique. |
6) | Step your left foot back (toward 6:00H) to your right foot, matching the angle of your right foot (toes toward 10:30H), into a transitory natural stance (diamond stance) (facing 12:00H), while allowing your right arm to rotate with your body (body fusion) simultaneous with the left arm maintaining its same relative spacial position. The final position of your arms should be the left extended in front of your body (toward 12:00H), palm down (toward 7:30V) and the right elbow extended to your right side (toward 3:00H). |
Note: | The previous maneuver combined with the next maneuver creates a (front-foot-to-back-foot - from a 12:00H perspective) switch (with attention behind you). |
Option: | In replacement to the previous maneuver, step your left foot back (toward 6:00H) to its original position, into a horse stance (facing 12:00H), while simultaneously dropping (toward 6:00V) both arms back to their original positions, palms toward you (toward 6:00H), prior to the execution of the previous series of maneuvers. |
7a) | Step forward (toward 12:00H) with your right foot into a transitory, left reverse bow (facing 6:00H) as you reposition (cock) your left arm across your body (toward 12:00H) concluding just in front of (depth) your right hip area (width), palm down (toward 7:30V), with the simultaneous reposition of your right hand to the top (toward 12:00V) of your left wrist, palm down (toward 6:00H) in preparation for the next maneuver. |
7b) | Immediately, rotate (counter clockwise H) into a left forward bow (facing 6:00H) with a left outward elbow strike (toward 6:00H), palm down (toward 7:30V), to face height, with the downward, diagonal (toward 4:30V) drop of your right arm to the outside (width) and in front of (depth) of your right hip. |
Note: | The above arm maneuvers simulate the pull with push (opposing forces) demonstrated within the actual self-defense technique and should be executed on linear paths of travel. |
Note: | The next maneuver is technically not part of the technique, rather a transitional maneuver prior to the next technique. |
8) | Step your right foot backward (toward 4:30H), into a horse stance (facing 12:00H), while allowing your left arm to rotate with your body (body fusion) simultaneous with the right arm maintaining its same relative spacial position. The final position of your arms should be the right extended in front of your body (toward 12:00H), palm down (toward 7:30V) and the left elbow extended to your left side (toward 9:00H). |
Note: | You should conclude this technique in the exact location from which you started the technique. And, depending upon foot maneuver option chosen, either be in the exact location or one stance to the right of the previous location (i.e. your left foot should be where your right foot was at the beginning of the technique). |
